Hopkins roasts Texans: ‘They said I’m only worth a 2nd rounder’

It’s been almost an entire year since the Houston Texans completed what Matt Harmon of Yahoo Sports called the worst NFL trade of all time when they sent All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and a fourth-round draft pick to the Arizona Cardinals for running back David Johnson, a second-round pick in 2020 and a fourth-round pick in 2021.

The Texans became a dumpster fire of an organization that fired head coach and general manager Bill O’Brien in early October and that currently has quarterback Deshaun Watson reportedly looking for any way out. Meanwhile, Hopkins recorded 115 receptions for 1,407 yards and six touchdowns en route to earning his fifth Pro Bowl nod during his first season with the Cardinals.

The 28-year-old wideout took to Twitter on Friday to blast his former employer.
