Jussie Smollett, the actor accused of faking a hate crime against himself for the sake of professional progress and notoriety, is apparently back in the news. BET wrote that it is rumored that Smollett will return to Empire Following comments made by Brett Mahoney, the showrunner of the program.
Mahoney recently said it would be strange to finish the series without bringing Jussie Smollett back to the scene. During a conversation with TVLine, Bretty allegedly hinted that Jussie would return to the award-winning program.
Paraphrasing what Mr. Mahoney said, it would be strange for him and the rest of the series producers not to include Jussie for last due to the essential role he once played. In other words, finishing the program without including it would be strange for the spectators.
Mr. Mahoney stated, "It is fair to say that it is being discussed," before admitting, however, that he and the rest of the executives have not yet made the decision. Last June, the show's creator, Lee Daniels, said assertively on Twitter that Jussie would not return at all.

Daniels wrote on the account: "Jussie will NOT come back to Empire,“With a special emphasis on the word,“ no. ”As noted above, Jussie was removed from the program for his involvement in the false hate crime hoax at the beginning of the year.
The 37-year-old actor claimed that two men followed him outside a subway restaurant and attacked him in the streets of Chicago. Smollett says they did a series of things, like throwing bleach everywhere, tying a knot in his neck, shouting insults and hitting him in the face.
However, later, the Chicago police determined that Mr. Smollett may have been involved in the crime. He was accused of making a false police report several times. Later, all charges were dropped, creating massive outrage on social media.
Even Donald Trump, the president of the United States, addressed the controversy in his social networks. Donald says he ordered the FBI to investigate.
