Well, there are probably two ways this goes. Either you are the owner of the fantasy in the fantasy championship that Christian McCaffrey owns, or you are playing against it and you will be rooting hard against the Panthers in Week 16. If somehow the title game of your fantasy league is happening without McCaffrey, pity The owner of McCaffrey. Of course, it is at the top of our RB fantasy ranking for Week 16 and is likely to have a great regular game.
Now, if you face McCaffrey, you can't afford to bypass your runner's choices. You may be disappointed to have seated Joe Mixon in Week 15 against the Patriots, but somehow Cincinnati made him run. This week against Miami, Mixon should continue with another solid exit and, if you somehow resisted recruitment and got here, it's time to trust him for the last time.
WEEK 16 RANKINGS NO PPR:
Field Marshal | Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker
The point of concern in the corridor this week is Todd Gurley. Against the 49ers, you can't feel amazing with Gurley. The same concern exists for Devin Singletary against the Pats. Both are talented enough, are involved in the pass game enough and will see enough touches that can still be played as RB2, but it's okay to be cautious.
If you have Josh Jacobs, watch him. Despite his activation for week 15, he has a shoulder injury that could still lead him to wait. It would not be a bad idea to handcuff him with DeAndre Washington if it is still possible. The same is true for James Conner, who could become a candidate for closure at some point while playing a shoulder injury. Dalvin Cook (chest / shoulder) is also "questionable, quot; this week, and with the lack of Alexander Mattison (ankle) last week, it could be Mike Boone who takes advantage of a great showdown with the Packers.
The last thing you should definitely consider is the probable return of Kerryon Johnson (knee) from IR. The confrontation with the Broncos is not excellent, but if it seems that Johnson will see 12-15 touches, it is worth grabbing and possibly using it as his FLEX.
Reminder: As always, we expect to make many changes to these rankings during the week, so check for updates.
