Gully Boy, directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, has been one of the best films of the year. The highly acclaimed film starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh is India's official entry into the international feature film category at the 92nd Academy Awards and movie makers leave no stone unturned to ensure their film leaves a mark on the Oscars this year.
Speaking about his efforts, producer Ritesh Sidhwani said his team is trying very hard to give Gully Boy all the necessary thrust. He told the media: “We are trying to bring the film to the forefront. We are doing everything in our power to make sure we don't leave any stone unturned by taking the movie there. The first short list will come out on December 15, so we are waiting for that. "
By sharing this, Sidhwani added: "After that, 10 of the 93 films will advance (in the best category of international films). So hopefully, we will reach the shortlisted list and maybe get the prize this time. Perhaps, it will be the first time for India, so we'll cross our fingers. "
