Week 14 means the start of fantasy football playoffs in most leagues, and the RB ranking and exemption cable could be filled with possible vans (or sleepers, if you want to be optimistic) due to injuries in the runners Marlon Mack, Jordan Howard, Damien Williams and Matt Breida are fighting diseases that could limit their respective availability for Week 14. Some of the latest news and updates suggest that Jordan Wilkins, Miles Sanders, Darwin Thompson and Raheem Mostert could be Week 14 Waiver adds or sleepers.

Will Marlon Mack play week 14?
At the end of last week, Mack (hand) pointed to a return of week 14, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. Indianapolis head coach Frank Reich he told reporters on Monday that Mack will be "monitored this week."
Mack has not yet practiced since the injury, so it is probably the first sign that he could be close to returning to the field. Against a frontline defense at Tampa Bay in Week 14, none of the Colts is especially attractive: Jordan Wilkins doubled Jonathan Williams in snapshots in Week 13 in a surprising way. Wilkins could still be worth a claim of exemption, but with the risk based on both the confrontation and a possible backward shift in game time, it may not be worth starting, so plan accordingly.

Jordan Howard injury update
Howard has not yet been authorized for contact as he deals with a shoulder injury that has not allowed him to play since Week 9. The Eagles do not play until Monday night against the Giants in Week 14, which could lengthen it until we know something new with certainty about Howard.
Miles Sanders has been Bellcow's return with Howard out, a departure from Doug Pederson's normal propensity to use committees in the field. If Howard remains out, Sanders is a strong RB2 play against New York, and if Howard is back and seemingly healthy, he would assume that role and hit Sanders in a boom or bust FLEX territory.

Damien Williams injury news
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid did not provide an update on Damien Williams in his Monday availability. Williams (ribs) has not practiced since his injury in week 11. Reid said there is a "good chance, quot; that Darrel Williams (hamstrings) is out in week 14. The Chiefs play in the afternoon schedule in New England on Sunday.
If both Darrel and Damien Williams are out, that leaves LeSean McCoy and rookie Darwin Thompson as the best. Thompson seems to be a priority waiver claim considering that it could be KC's maximum support, but it would be nothing more than a FLEX in a tough confrontation against New England.
Injury news from Matt Breida
Kyle Shanahan he told reporters on Monday which is "optimistic, quot; Breida will adapt in week 14. Breida (ankle) has not played since week 10. In her absence in week 13, Raheem Mostert dominated the carries for San Francisco, 20-5 over Tevin Coleman.
Breida's return would throw a wrench in a field that had already been turned. Adding Mostert to the exemptions this week is a success if you think Breida will return and claim some work as well. Associate it with a tough confrontation of Week 14 in New Orleans and this will be a difficult field to predict with confidence for Sunday.
