Judd Trump's hopes of becoming the fifth player to have all three Triple Crown titles ended in a surprising defeat against Nigel Bond in the United Kingdom Championship.
World No. 1 Trump was very likely to beat veteran Bond and keep his quest to win the title at York Barbican.
But the 54-year-old stranger, ranked 98 in the world, backed down the years to produce an impressive 6-3 victory.
Bond, who became a professional 30 years ago and was runner-up in the World Championship in 1995, opened a 5-3 lead and then remained calm in box nine after a long duel in the final rose, before encapsulating him and finish Trump's title hopes
