Auburn was fined for raiding the field after a great victory over Alabama


Auburn will pay the price of the country party.

Tigers fans stormed the grid after their exciting Iron Bowl 48-45 victory over rival Alabama on Saturday, lightening the university's wallet. The SEC announced Monday that Auburn would charge a fine of $ 250,000 for fans that assault the field.

This is the fourth time that Auburn University has been fined for assaulting the field (or the court). The three previous offenses: the game "Kick-Six,quot; in 2013, the Kentucky men's basketball win in 2016 and the Iron Bowl of 2017.

The victory effectively ended any hope of the possibility of Alabama in the College Football Playoff. The Tigers finish their regular season with 9-3.
